 Chinatown

A bustling neighbourhood close to the CBD, there are many intriguing things to see in Chinatown Singapore that attract visitors. They tend to lose track of time as they soak in the atmosphere. Busy streets lined with shops, and markets, people enjoying food and eye-catching souvenirs. Then you suddenly come upon an exquisite temple filled with ancient Buddhist history.
The Buddha Tooth Relic Temple in Chinatown is one such temple with a beautiful facade and serene surroundings. This is a location eloquently capturing the Chinese Buddhist culture in Singapore.

2

Gardens by the Bay (GBTB)

A visit to Gardens by the Bay, an oasis of lush greenery and vibrant blooms, should not be missed. Situated in the heart of the city, GBTB covers a massive area of 101 hectares. Its many sections like the Cloud Forest, Flower Dome, Floral Fantasy and Supertree Grove offer many appealing photography spots. The OCBC Skyway that winds between the tall manmade supertrees offers some stunning captures.

3

 Haji Lane

This trendy lane situated in Kampong Glam is a must-visit site for fashionistas. Be excited by the well-stocked boutiques and hip cafes that are in repurposed shophouses of a bygone era. View the inspiring art murals on some with splashes of colour. The quaint blend of ancient shophouses with these art murals conveys a beautiful image depicting the treasured colonial architecture along with modern street art, great imagery worth capturing.

4

 Helix Bridge

One of the best ways of admiring the popular Marina Bay is to cross Helix Bridge. As you do so capture this spectacular bridge made of twisted stainless steel in a geometric design. Stopping by a viewing platform on the bridge enables a stunning image of the city’s skyline at dusk in addition to images on the bridge.

5

Marina Bay Sands

Opened in 2010, this architectural marvel encapsulates a luxury hotel. A theatre, a casino and a shopping mall. Crossing the Helix Bridge offers a good view of this mega property. The Skypark Observation Deck here offers a stupendous view of the city and the Gardens by the Bay, noteworthy captures.

6

Clark Quay

Clark Quay is a famous waterfront promenade lined by bars, restaurants and clubs offering a gay time for revellers as dusk falls. Before you join the gay crowd, witness the beauty of this buzzing area from a traditional bumboat. You can capture epic images of Clark Quay and Marina Bay.

7

 Merlion Park

Situated near the Fullerton Bay Car Park, Merlion Park is home to the beautiful statue of the Merlion, the mythical creature with a Lion Head and fish body spouting water from its mouth.  Merlion is the official mascot of Singapore, and capturing images with the Merlion Statue at this public park is a fine way of stamping one’s visit to Singapore, also known as the Lion City.

8

Singapore Botanic Gardens

This gracious beauty has given much pleasure to locals and visitors since 1859 and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The beautiful swan lake, a Victorian cast iron gazebo, serene walkways, the learning forest and the National Orchid Garden Singapore (the world's best orchid garden) offer plenty of beautiful captures of enduring locations within these massive Gardens.

9

ArtScience Museum

Driving culture using art, science and technology this modern tech-driven museum has permanent exhibits and shows while offering temporary exhibitions of famous artists such as Vincent Van Gogh, Andy Warhol etc. Its ultra-modern structure resembles a giant lotus flower with 10 petals. An unusual image for your collection of memories.

 House of Tan Teng Niah

Built at the turn of the 20th century in Little India this villa with 2 storeys was the former residence of Tan Teng Niah, a Chinese resident. It is the sole surviving Chinese Villa in that neighbourhood at present. Unmistakable with its bright and multi-hued exteriors, Chinese calligraphy and floral patterns in the columns of the building the villa is preserved as a national landmark. Many visitors tend to pose near this monument for a treasured memory.
Many of these sites are centrally located around the CBD of Singapore. Hence a property similarly positioned is ideal. To that end, there are many options including Mercure ICON Singapore City Centre.
