Jungle Beach, located near Unawatuna, draws visitors in with its accessibility and stunning sights. Found at the end of a jungle-cloaked trail, the reef fringing the beach is abundant with marine life and colourful coral. The area also has affordable dive centres offering snorkelling gear for low prices. However, due to the trail, the beach can be a bit difficult to get to.
Nearby, in Hikkaduwa, the marine reserve is home to an extensive coral reef waiting to be explored. Although some areas are still recovering from coral bleaching, the reserve is rich in marine life, with frequent sightings of sea turtles and exotic fish.
