Reading a book can actually change your life! I usually don’t read self-help books but found this one different. It’s called “5 Killer Habits: Be A Rebel” by Sree Krishna Seelam. This is the only motivational book I read in 2024, and it inspired me a little. In this book, you’ll find a good number of motivational incidents and the lessons we can learn from them. It contains many disciplined actions that readers can take to change their lives, achieve their goals, and stand out from the crowd. Below are the chapters I read and some information about each one, which I tried to apply in my daily life:

This chapter is about being a hero. Yes, we all can be heroes. We don’t need superpowers, but we do need the motivation and empathy to do heroic deeds. In this chapter, the author guides readers to contribute through acts of volunteering and living to do the right things.

In this chapter, the author introduces readers to the idea of traveling and how it can teach us so much about different cultures, people, and unlock so many new ideas and experiences. Learning from the world around you is a unique experience.

This chapter suggests that we can explore new opportunities to learn and grow in our lives by being curious. We adapt, we learn, we grow. This is how life goes on. To achieve your big goals, you must never stop exploring, learning, and working hard. This is called ‘curiosity’. A feeling of encouragement in which you always feel motivated to check new things, new courses, new people to know, etc.

Live 100 Lives

Live 100 Lives

The author, Sree Krishna Seelam, says in his book: “We have only one life, but those who read can live several lives.” This means the more you read, the more you live. You experience different characters’ lives, fiction or non fiction…you live in their point of view and learn from them. You observe and think as the character of the book. You understand what they think by going through the life they are going through. This is another level of experience. More like magic, I would say.
