This secret beach located just 12km away from the heart of Quy Nhon is the perfect place for hikers and nature lovers as the seaside can only be reached by trekking through a coconut forest full of poplar trees. The waterfall-laden path is only a kilometre in length but is a great respite for beachgoers escaping the hustle and bustle of the downtown area.
Occupying the Nhon Hai Commune, Hon Kho Beach is a spectacular beach that's truly off the beaten path. Situated on an uninhabited island, the rustic charm of this atmospheric beachfront is difficult to capture in words. Ideal for swimming and fishing activities, tourists can also tour the Bai Bang fishing village during their time at this unspoiled seaside.
Green Island or Cu Lao Xanh Island is another location where some of Quy Nhon's finest beaches are found. Those with an interest in squid fishing and snorkelling are often seen spending time on this island where you can also listen to Bai Choi recitals during certain times of the year.
While the rocky beachfront with a circular shoreline may not be suited for swimming due to its high tides and strong waves, it is a fantastic venue to try out all manner of adventure water sports.
