8 Stunning Quy Nhon Beaches: Ideal for a Private Escape

Home to some of Vietnam's finest coastal gems, the beaches in Quy Nhon are little pieces of paradise waiting to be uncovered. While the area's top beaches are crowded during peak travel season, here are 8 secluded seaside alternatives you can have all to yourself.

1

Bai Xep Beach

Whether you're based at Avani Quy Nhon Resort or any similar Vietnam beach hotels in the area, a quiet afternoon at Bai Xep Beach is a must. This secret beach located just 12km away from the heart of Quy Nhon is the perfect place for hikers and nature lovers as the seaside can only be reached by trekking through a coconut forest full of poplar trees. The waterfall-laden path is only a kilometre in length but is a great respite for beachgoers escaping the hustle and bustle of the downtown area.

2

Hon Kho Beach

Occupying the Nhon Hai Commune, Hon Kho Beach is a spectacular beach that's truly off the beaten path. Situated on an uninhabited island, the rustic charm of this atmospheric beachfront is difficult to capture in words. A haven for those with a passion for camping, scuba diving and climbing activities, the beach is a great place to chat with local fishermen and hear about their seafaring adventures.

3

Hon Seo Beach

Located on a tiny off-coast island, Hon Seo Beach is an overlooked beach that most travellers miss out on. Despite its offshore setting, the beach's home island, Hon Seo is arguably the most visually arresting island in all of Binh Dinh Province with a 90m elevation. Couples and families on the lookout for a secluded and pristine beach far from town will find no finer alternative to this tranquil beachfront.

4

Queen's Beach

Called Hoang Hau Beach by locals, Quy Nhon's Queen's Beach is a coastal highlight with a rich historic legacy. Best known for the egg-shaped green stones that are found along the shoreline, the beach earned its curious name after a stopover by King Bao Dai and Queen Nam Phuong according to local legend.

5

Bai Nhom Beach

Although Bai Nhom Beach borders National Road 1D, it is surprisingly one of Quy Nhon's most underrated beaches. Surrounded by towering granite mountains and lush, verdant forests, the contrast of geographical features is what sets Bai Nhom Beach apart from other beaches in the area.

6

Bai Bang Beach

With Quy Nhon city centre only 12km away, Bai Bang Beach is another conveniently located beach that's often ignored in favour of more popular seaside hubs in the region. Bordered by a dense forest, the area also features traditional stilt houses and countless coconut plants heavy with fruit. Ideal for swimming and fishing activities, tourists can also tour the Bai Bang fishing village during their time at this unspoiled seaside.

7

Cu Lao Xanh Island Beach

Green Island or Cu Lao Xanh Island is another location where some of Quy Nhon's finest beaches are found. Those with an interest in squid fishing and snorkelling are often seen spending time on this island where you can also listen to Bai Choi recitals during certain times of the year.

8

Bai Dai Beach

While the rocky beachfront with a circular shoreline may not be suited for swimming due to its high tides and strong waves, it is a fantastic venue to try out all manner of adventure water sports.
