Best iOS habit/quantified-self tracking apps

The Quantified-Self (QS) movement is all about tracking- whether it's steps taken each day, calories eaten, miles ran, cash spent, time slept, emotions felt- in order to distill and organize that data to learn more about yourself and make changes when necessary. These iOS apps (most universal, though some made for iPhone specifically) can all be used toward data collection without any external equipment (like the FitBit) required.

MyFitnessPal - Calorie Counter

Whether you're counting calories, carbs (like me), fat, or how many glasses of water you drink each day, MyFitnessPal is the gold standard of food-tracking. Largest hurdle to overcome? Simply reminding yourself to track literally everything you put into your mouth; but with the ability to create favorite foods and meals as well as barcode scanning for automated results, MFP makes it easy as it can be (until the tech is developed to monitor food intake automatically).

Beyond tracking food intake, MFP plays nice with most other services like RunKeeper, Fitbit, Runtastic, and countless others.

"MyFitnessPal is a diet and fitness community built with one purpose in mind: providing you with the tools and support you need to achieve your weight loss goals."
