A list of links to Slides from SharePoint Saturday UK 2013
It has been a great pleasure since 2010 when the UK hosted its first SharePoint Saturday to be able to present at this community event. This year I was able to present in the new Cloud track and started the day of sessions of talking about the Office 365 Architecture.
Hey Guys, Last Saturday we decided we were going to pack up all our equipment and go and film SharePoint Saturday and thanks to Mark Macrae and Brett Lonsdale, we were given permission to do so.
My presentation from SharePoint Saturday UK 2013. In this session we looked at some of the questions you need to ask yourself and your potential Cloud Provider

Attending the SharePoint Saturday event today was a first for me, and it was a brilliant experience. Seeing people in the hundreds giving up their valued weekends to spend time learning and sharing knowledge around SharePoint was great to see, and very much enjoyable.
There are many technical considerations of migrating to the cloud, and these get a lot of coverage, but there are many non-technical considerations – this session will arm you with what you need to know about, and think about, before and during a migration.
Two fully grown men in Lederhosen, 'The Lonely Goatherd', cans of soup, and drinking beer on stage? It's got to be SharePoint Saturday UK 2013 (#SPSUK)! If you were lucky enough to attend Andrew Woodward (@AndrewWoody) and my presentation on 'Collaboration 101′, then I think you'll agree that we had a lot of fun!
I had the pleasure of presenting at #SPSUK yesterday, 09th November 2013, on SharePoint Online.
I presented on the subject of SharePoint Online, the Good, the Bad and the Ugly which was about the what was good about SharePoint Online, what was bad about SharePoint Online and what was ugly about SharePoint Online.
The room was about full and I had a great crowd in who asked lots of good questions.
Thank you all for coming !

As a follow up to my #SPSUK sessions, it made sense for me to "postify" (is that a real word?!) my "Why You Should Care About the Cloud" session. Like all technologies the Cloud is a "different horses for different courses" technology, some of the reasons outlined below will resonate with you and your organisation, some won't.

It was a pleasure to present this in SharePoint Saturday UK in Hinckley. Great turn out 300+ attendees and more the 40 speakers from all over UK and Europe.
Here's my slidedeck from SPSUK (November 9, 2013). As those who attended my session know, it was mostly demo, so the last 6 slides contain the reference information I mentioned during the session.

Recently I gave a talk at SharePoint Saturday UK, following some work my team and I have done on a large Office 365 project. The project involves a reasonable amount of customisation, and we found that many of the techniques we were used to using on classic SharePoint projects cannot simply be applied.
Last week I was very privileged to present at SharePoint Saturday on Building BI dashboards using Visio 2013. The session covered all the topics an administrator needs to know to start creating BI dashboards in Visio for use in either SharePoint 2013 or Office 365.
