Here are some of the popular places to visit for a fun family adventure in Gaborone.

The Gaborone Game Reserve is one of the popular hotspots where families can enjoy the amazing wildlife in Botswana without moving too far from the city. Despite being one of the smallest game reserves in Africa, you’ll have the chance to see various animals including monkeys, antelope and various bird species. Taking a guided tour may be ideal as it makes your visit more educational and entertaining, which can be a valuable experience for children.

The museum and gallery feature various engaging displays, interactive sessions and curated tours that are tailored for young audiences. A visit to the local equestrian centre is one of the more memorable things to do in Gaborone, as you’ll have the chance to learn horse riding and learn the basics of caring for these animals. The centre provides horse riding lessons for riders of all skill levels, including basic riding lessons for children. All of the instructors at the centre are qualified and the health and wellbeing of the animals always remains a top priority.
