Here's what people have to say about their small electric inflator air pumps that they love having for their home.
What's a good portable electric air pump that doesn't cost a million bucks (though I plan to make this a Christmas present, so my wife will be buying it!) I'd prefer one that can run off a car cigarette lighter rather than a battery-powered one that has to be recharged. If it can also be run off house plug power, that's a plus as well (but not required)
Priority is something that has a decent CFM/air rate......not too concerned with size or weight or any of that.
What I'm looking for is something really small to just carry around and inflate car tires, bike tires, etc.
Another vote for a small, portable air compressor that runs on 115V regular house current. Get that, get one with an integral regulator or get a pressure regulator to put on it, probably less than $200 out the door, but it will last your lifetime, you will definitely wonder what you did without it. Get a blow gun as well, wonderful for cleaning out fans, etc. that build up dust.
Sears and Northern Hydraulic are just 2 places you can get a new one, from time to time pawn shops have used ones, even Goodwill etc. occasionally have them.
