The streets are home to historical buildings constructed during the British rule of Hong Kong. Head over to the Golden Bauhinia Square and be a part of history. The landmark was erected to symbolise the spot where the official handing-over ceremony was held between the British and Chinese in 1997. The monument consists of a golden Bauhinia flower six metres in width that sits atop a granite pillar. Although you can visit the site at any time of the day, it is especially resplendent at night when neon lights cast a magical glow on the structure. Besides, sightseeing at night is a great experience and you get to bar hop just like the locals. The best bars in Wan Chai include those located on Lockhart Road, Times Square Hong Kong, and also those like 3T Bar, located at the Dorset Wanchai Hong Kong
