When looking past the tension. There are many many times when feminism and religion have been able to have a positive influence on each other. For example feminists have been able to sit down and re-explain religious script and highlight the roles women had within. They are able to point out the efforts made by women whom fought for equal rights in religious context. The mutual influence shows that religion and feminism can coexist and help each other flourish

Historically, faith has been viewed as a patriarchal institution. So it was often seen as something that would maintain "gender norms" and inequality. Obviously, this ended up causing friction between religious beliefs and feminist ideologies. An example of this would include the many religious texts and practices that excluded women , and restricted their positions in both religious and political context

While the media can cause ever-lasting stereotypes and have negative views on both religion and feminism. It can also be used to educate people on women who have been able to practice both religion and feminism. It can serve as a positive way to empower women and promote religious leaders who use their platforms to fight for women's equality.

the relationship between faith and feminism is forever changing. When its historical conflicts, mutual influences, and media portrayals are understood, we are able to appreciate the complex nature of the relationship between Religion and feminism.

While feminism and religion often clash, they can align on many issues, especially through an intersectional lens. Women from various religions use their faith to fight for equal rights and challenge patriarchal norms. For instance, female imam Sherin (the video above) uses her religion to confront these norms. This interconnectedness shows how women can find empowerment in both feminism and faith, leveraging their religious beliefs to support feminist ideals.
