Thoddoo Buddhist Temple

Thoddoo Buddhist Temple reflects how Buddhism thrived in the Maldives. Founded in 1950 and located on Thoddoo Island this historic site contains silver relics, Roman coins, and Buddhist artifact remnants.  A Buddhist statue buried close by indicates that Buddhism was practised in the region a long time back.

Built as a memorial for those who have fought against the Sri Lankan Tamil Tigers this black slab adorned with the names of civilian-military personnel is located in a peaceful environment in Male. This is a great place to enjoy some peace as you take a stroll amid the serene environs of the venue.

3

Tsunami Monument

Maldives Discovery Center

The first multi-island fully integrated leisure destination in the nation, CROSSROADS Maldives, offers fun and educational opportunities for the whole family. Several visits to this place will help you discover how the distinctive cultural identity of the islands has been shaped throughout the years via beautiful designs and interactive displays. A property like Hard Rock Hotel Maldives provides easy access since it is 450 meters away from The Marina @ CROSSROADS. Guests from the resort are provided with complimentary entry to The Marina via a footbridge.

Tomb of Muhammad Thakurufaanu

One of the best places to visit in the Maldives includes The Tomb of Muhammad Thakurufaanu, a notable national leader. Sinamalé Bridge

The Sinamalé Bridge which is otherwise known as the China Maldives Friendship Bridge is exactly what its name indicates – a symbol of the amicable relationship between the two nations. Regarded as a marvellous piece of infrastructure, this majestic overpass connects the Maldivian islands Malé, Hulhulé, and Hulhumalé. The 1.39 km long bridge was opened on August 30, 2018, and features two lanes for cars as well as separate lanes for motorcycles and pedestrians.

Mulee-Aage Palace

Mulee'age, also known as the Presidential Palace, is the home of the Maldivian President. Constructed in the initial decades of the 1900s, the palace accommodated multiple heads of state and served as a central hub for Maldivian politics. Visitors will discover how British colonialism shaped the building's architecture and how it changed from being a royal residence to a representation of the Maldives state today.
