An ideology with the purpose of healing, guiding and restoring peace has become a vessel of destruction. The Commission for Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Cultural, Religious and Linguistic Communities undertook an investigation concerning the commercialization of religion in South Africa. Today's churches advertise themselves as a business enterprise selling a product they call " religion". The CRL seeks to counter this epidemic through amending the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Cultural, Religious and Linguistic Communities Act no. 19 of 2002.
