The Best Beach Escapes in Quy Nhon - A Haven for Relaxation

Quy Nhon is a prime destination for those looking to get away from the daily hustle and relax in luxury on a sunny beach. From stunning well-maintained sandy shores, to lesser-known secluded spots to shores steeped in ancient royal history, Quy Nhon has some of the top beaches for an idyllic holiday.

1

Bai Xep Beach

Located south of Quy Nhon town, Bai Xep Beach is part of the Bai Xep fishing village which gives it an authentic local feel. The beach is itself a beautiful golden bay with jagged-edged rocks at both ends and clear waters. There are several traditional Vietnamese basket boats on the beach that are great for exploring the nearby waters. The beach also features a little guesthouse called ‘Life’s a Beach’ run by an English couple who grew fond of the location during their visit in 2013. The Bai Xep beach is an obvious spot to visit for those staying a few minutes at Anantara Quy Nhon Villas or any other nearby hotel.

Quy Hoa Beach

Also located to the south of Quy Nhon, this beach stretches for over a kilometre and is often empty on weekends, providing the perfect peaceful escape. Despite its quiet atmosphere, there is plenty to explore around the beach area. It is close to various village streets where visitors can stroll through and discover shops, colourful houses and cafes. The Quy Hoa Leprosy Hospital opened by a French priest in 1929 is also a short walk away, with a memorial park at the north end of the beach dedicated to the various individuals who contributed to helping leprosy patients.

Queen Beach (Bai Trung)

Also known as Bãi tắm Hoàng Hậu, Queen Beach is named after Queen Nam Phuong, the wife of the last Vietnamese Emperor. The beach was chosen by the Queen as a favoured spot for resting from her royal duties. Today the beach continues to be a prime relaxing place for visitors rather than a swimming beach. The presence of large round rocks that resemble large eggs gives the beach a unique landscape and view of the horizon. The rocks have earned the beach another name - Bai Trung, or Stone Egg Beach. Visitors can access the beach through the Gheng Rang Landscape Park, which features a direct pathway with cafes and restaurants.

4

Eo Gio

Found towards the northeast of Quy Nhon city, this beach stands out from the rest with a rocky coastline featuring several tracks for exploring nearby caves and hills. Those who are able to reach the top of a hill will be greeted by stunning views of this uniquely rugged coastline. While swimming is not possible due to the rocky landscapes, there is an abundance of rock pools to be explored where local fishermen can be seen collecting seafood. While it boasts no sandy beaches for relaxation, Eo Gio is popular among those looking to add a bit of adventure to their beach vacation.

5

Quy Nhon Beach

This golden sandy beach is located along the city’s main coastline but is often overlooked due to several other nearby beaches. Quy Nhon Beach is one of the most beautiful and well-maintained beaches, with an unbroken promenade that is perfect for walks, and bike rides. Moving towards the south of the promenade, visitors will find several parks with palm trees and traditional statues. The beach also features designated swimming areas with a lifeguard present during day time. While Quy Nhon Beach is mostly empty during the day, it is a prime spot for beach events in Quy Nhon with locals visiting the shores in the late afternoons to play volleyball, engage in exercises or enjoy a drink at the Surf Bar at the north end of the beach
