9 Attractions to Visit in Hong Kong – Experience the Best of Hong Kong

Hong Kong is home to some of the best attractions you’ll find anywhere. The vibrant city promises you a memorable experience. If you’re planning a visit, these are some of the must-visit attractions.

1

Avenue of Stars

If you don’t think the Hong Kong film industry is any good, make your way to Avenue of Stars located along the Victoria Harbour, and your doubts will be put to rest. These days, however, the industry doesn’t produce many talk-worthy movies, but during its golden era, it gave rise to names such as Jackie Chan, Bruce Lee, John Woo, and Jet Li. The Avenue of Stars, quite like Hollywood’s Walk of Fame, pays tribute to these movie stars. If you visit this attraction that is within easy reach of Park Hotel Hong Kong, one of the popular hotels in Kowloon, Hong Kong, don’t forget to take a selfie or two with the statues of action figures like Bruce Lee.

2

The Big Buddha

Also known as Tian Tan Buddha, the Big Buddha is one of the most popular landmarks in Hong Kong. It took about 12 years to construct the statue, which stands over 34 metres high. To get to the statue, you have to scale over 200 steps, so expect to be completely exhausted at the end of your trip, though you will be rewarded with an amazing sight.

3

Hong Kong Disneyland

You’re sure to find your hygge moment at Hong Kong Disneyland, one of the most delightful spots you’ll find anywhere in the world. From kid-friendly attractions that will keep your young ones on their toes to parades and music performances, Hong Kong Disneyland is everything you would expect it to be and more!

4

Hong Kong Observation Wheel

Well, it’s not quite like the London Eye, but the Hong Kong Observation Wheel is well-deserving of its popularity. It promises breathtaking views of the area, including the harbour. It’s 60 meters high, and the entire circuit takes about 15 minutes to complete, meaning there’s plenty of time for you to capture the beautiful moments you’re sure to encounter.

5

Hong Kong Space Museum

You can’t miss this egg-shaped structure sitting on the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront. The Hall of Space Exploration, the Hall of Cosmos, and the theatre within the dome make up the whole of the museum. You can catch a documentary if you time your visit right. To witness some action, head to the main museum.

6

Hong Kong Wetland Park

Sprawling over 60 hectares, the Hong Kong Wetland Park is a reserve and an ecotourism park. It’s home to an array of wetland plants and animals. Keep your eyes peeled for mangroves and rare bird species. The park is undoubtedly an eye-catching attraction, but it also focuses on conservation. If you’re a nature enthusiast, you’ll absolutely love it here.

7

Sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck

The Peak is one of the must-visits for stunning views, but if you want more views, Sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck is where you’ll find it. It’s an indoor observation deck that provides panoramic views of the entire city. Visit during the day to enjoy clear skies over the sprawling city underneath. If you visit at night, you’ll be treated to a mesmerising show of night lights.

8

Man Mo Temple

A relic of the past, Man Mo Temple is found on Hollywood Road. The temple goes back to the 19th century, which means only one thing: tales of the past! The area is home to quite a lot of antique stores. Locals visit the temple to pay tribute to the god of literature and the god of martial arts. With its quiet atmosphere, the temple stands in a delightful contrast to the city outside. It’s an excellent spot to get away from it all and enjoy a moment of reflection.

9

Ocean Park Hong Kong

Another thrilling experience awaits you at Ocean Park Hong Kong. Located in the southern region of the city, Ocean Park is popular with locals and foreigners. There are plenty of rollercoaster rides, and if you visit during the Halloween season, you’ll find themed attractions.
