Tucked away amidst rugged cliffs and crystal-clear waters, Ky Co Beach is an absolute must-visit for anyone travelling to Quy Nhon. This beach isn’t easily accessible, which explains why it is almost always secluded. Travellers can hire a speedboat from Nhon Ly Village to get to Ky Co Beach in about 10 minutes, only to be greeted by powdery white sands and turquoise blue waters. Spend the day basking in the sun and enjoying some peace and quiet on holiday. A word of advice: when planning a holiday to Quy Nhon, make sure it isn’t during the winter months as waves are quite rough and speedboats aren’t allowed to operate.
For those on the search for a more laid-back atmosphere, Bai Xep Beach offers the perfect retreat for tourists. Located about 15 kilometres south of Quy Nhon’s main town, this small but busy fishing village features an incredible bay, bordered by rocks at each end. Take in the clear blue waters and golden sands or take a leisurely stroll along the beach. Snorkelling is also an exciting option for larger groups. Consider wrapping up the day with a delicious BBQ featuring freshly caught seafood.
Easily accessible from a Quy Nhon hotel and the main town, this beach features a series of parks and designated areas for swimming – ideal for spending the entire day. It is usually quite empty during the day and is the best time to visit it for a quiet and calm experience. Visitors to Quy Nhon Beach will find the locals getting together on the beach for a friendly game of volleyball or exercises by mid or late afternoon, which they can consider joining! Round off the day at the beach by grabbing dinner and drinks at a nearby cafe or restaurant. Those visiting Quy Nhon for the first time can consider booking a stay at a property such as Anantara Quy Nhon Villas.
Also named “Queen Beach”, Bai Trung Beach was named after the wife of Vietnam’s last Emperor, who loved the beach and often spent time there. While Bai Trung Beach isn’t for swimming, it is still a must-visit simply for its stunning views of the ocean and a place to relax with friends or family. The beach can be accessed through Ghenh Rang Landscape Park, where visitors can follow the road up the hill and pass a few restaurants before reaching the stone steps, which lead to this secluded haven.
On the search for a completely different beach experience? Consider visiting Eo Gio Beach, which is located about 20 kilometres northeast of Quy Nhon and is the perfect location to enjoy the stunning coastline and explore surrounding hills and caves. For those wanting to spend the night here, consider hiring tents for a beach camping experience – best enjoyed with close family or friends!
