If there’s one thing Kuala Lumpur’s Chinatown has absolutely no shortage of, that are ornate ancient temples — Chinese and Buddhist temples, specifically. The striking Guan Di Temple is among the most prominent, where it is hailed as one of the most impressive temples in the whole of the capital city. With historical events that date all the way back to 1886, the sacred site is also the possessor of a rich history as fascinating as the atmospheric charm. While it may not be as fabled as the Taoist temple above, Chan See Shu Yuen Temple is another unforgettable religious site in the quarter — one of Malaysia’s largest and oldest surviving Buddhist temples.
