Few experiences rival the thrill of swimming in the waters of Sri Lanka, only to witness the graceful glide of a sea turtle passing by, its movements punctuated by gentle sprays of water as it gracefully descends into the depths. However, the future of these magnificent creatures hangs in the balance due to a perilous mix of light and marine pollution, unsustainable fishing methods, and the harvesting of turtle eggs. Koggala Sea Turtle Hatchery is dedicated to the conservation of sea turtles, actively releasing them back into their ocean habitat while advocating for safe fishing practices and reduced pollution.
