Halloween in Utah is a festively spooky time of year for young and old. While it is fun and exciting for the young ones in your home, it can also be dangerous. It is important to be aware of certain dangers to keep your little ghosts and goblins safe this Halloween season. Here are ten things to remember when gearing up for Utah’s first fall holiday.

Pumpkin Carving

Carving pumpkins is a favorite Halloween tradition, but there are safer alternatives for the younger kids in your home like painting and decorating.

Masks

Most costumes require a mask, but they are not safe if the eyeholes are not large enough to see straight ahead and peripherally.

Halloween is the only time it’s acceptable to take candy from strangers, but parents should still inspect each piece before the child can eat any.
