Adam Road Food Centre

Situated near the Singapore Botanical Gardens, this Hawker Centre is an ideal place to grab a snack or a meal if you are feeling puckish after a visit to the gardens. It is an open-air Hawker Centre with over 40 food stalls to choose from. Most of the stalls here offer Halal Certified food, and a must-try dish is Nasi Lemak, the popular rice dish of many visitors such as those using hotels in Balestier Singapore

Geylang Serai Market

Situated in Geylang Serai Area in a two-storeyed building this Hawker Centre has been serving many generations of locals and visitors since the mid-20th century. Known for its Halal Hawker food. Try a range of satay at Alhambra Heritage and Satay stall. Other favourites here are the desserts like Malay Cakes and Pastries as well as Kueh salat at Kueh Salam Asli a two-layered dessert made with glutinous rice and coconut milk, a green and white yummy concoction.

Newton Hawker Centre

Newton Centre offers a wide range of food stalls and though at walking distance from the high-end shopping street Orchard Road, this fine eatery offers food at reasonable prices. Try the amazing seafood dishes here like barbecued stingray from Heng Heng BBQ which can be relished with Hokkien Mee as paired by guests using properties like Hotel 81 Fuji.

Situated in Chinatown, this open-air food centre serves the residents, office workers, locals and visitors and is usually a bustling eating place. Try Maxwell Fuzhou Oyster Cakes which are pastries stuffed with oyster paste as well as their Tian Tian Chicken Rice.

Tekka Market Food Centre

Situated in Little India this is an ideal Hawker Centre for delicious Indian Food. It is in a large complex with retail shops and a wet market. With an array of stalls dishing our Indian fare like Biriyani, thosai, murtabak etc. the dishes are tempting and filling. Try the excellent Mutton Biriyani at Allauddin’s with spicy Basmati Rice and mutton which is aromatic and soft. This Hawker Centre is closed on Mondays.

Amoy Street Food Centre

Offering a varied cuisine to working Singaporeans this Hawker Centre is in the Central Business District. (CBD) near Telok Blangah MRT station. Boasting quite a few Michelin Bib Gourmand recipients in its midst they dish out good food at reasonable rates. Try their Singapore-styled ramen at A Noodle Story, rice dumplings at Hoo Kee are another favourite of many officegoers.

Bendemeer Market and Food Centre

Loaded with vegetarian food stalls, this Hawker Centre attracts vegans, vegetarians, and health-conscious visitors. While other Hawker Stalls serve vegetarian dishes the variety of dishes is wider here. A short walk from Boon Keng MRT station gets you there. Try the Nasi Biryani from Jian Kang and rice rolls at Da Shun.

Lau Pa Sat

This is a heritage Hawker Centre in Singapore having been in operation for 150 years. An octagonal structure with a high ceiling provides a lot of ventilation, this is a go-to place for yummy desserts like buttery egg tarts, sweet pastries and more at Butter and Cream Bakery here. This food centre also serves Indian food like Biriyani and Chappatis.

Chomp Chomp Food Centre

Situated in the Serangoon Gardens neighbourhood this food centre operates from 5.30 pm till late into the night. Try the satay at Chomp Chomp Satay with pineapple peanut sauce dip, and Hokkien Mee at Ah Hock Fried Hokkien Mee. To get to this food court one must take a bus or taxi as the closest MRT is about 20 minutes from it.
