Mount Fuji

Mount Fuji, or Fuji-san as it is called by the Japanese, is the tallest mountain in the country rising to 3,776 metres. The mountain towers above the flat landscape and is the most remarkable natural feature of the country. Wondering how tall? It can be seen even from Tokyo, which is around a hundred kilometres away. Titled a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2013, Mount Fuji attracts a big crowd of tourists.
