Cross pack
If you are travelling with your partner or a friend, for that extra bit of peace, add 2 outfits to your partner’s luggage get two of his or her outfits and put them in your bags. Remember to pack clothes that are easy to wash, that are light and easy to carry. Loose-fitting clothes are ideal if you are visiting here during the summer. Also, try to bring clothes that you will need during your stay - Do not overpack! Also, keep in mind that most bars and restaurants have a smart casual dress code - so ensure that you bring enough casualwear to wear for bars and any special occasions.
PS: If you see a sign at restaurants or bars saying “No thongs”, fret not, it is another local term for sandals and flipflops
If you are planning to visit Australia during the winter months or if you are visiting the alpine regions such as Tasmania, New South Wales or Victoria, you would need at least two-three layers of clothing to beat the cold.
Don’t stuff
Don't pack clothes till your bags are full and the zippers are about to come off. Make sure that you pack up to a maximum of 75% of the capacity on your carry-on bags.
