5 Essential Things You Should Carry when Going on a Beach Holiday Tour in Sri Lanka- Get these into your packing list

Sri Lanka is one of those travel destinations that you must visit during your lifetime. From incredible beaches to astounding ruins, Sri Lanka is a place of interest to all. If you are planning a trip to the paradise island here are some things that should be on your packing list.

1

Essential documents

Keep all your necessary documents like passport, visa (if necessary) airline and hotel bookings, and reservations in a clear manila folder and make copies of all important papers like the passport. Save all the essential documents into a soft version and keep them with you in case the hard copies get misplaced. Tour operators like Walkers Tours are a good option when planning one of those  Sri Lanka beach holidays, as they will take you to all the best and undiscovered locations in the country.

2

Bags to take with you

Sri Lanka is a great country for backpackers, with endless options to keep you occupied and an efficient transport system to take you from place to place effectively. Other than investing in appropriate luggage that will take you efficiently across the country, you can also use packing cubes to make it easier to organise your luggage. Also, a smaller backpack will be useful to carry with you on special excursions or trips. A cross-body bag or a bum bag will be useful to carry your essentials like room keys and things like small cash when travelling via public transport.

3

Clothes

Sri Lanka is a hot and humid country, however, the monsoon season takes place from October to January in the Northern and Eastern regions while from May to August, South and Western Monsoon gets activated. Generally pack plenty of clothes which are light and comfortable. When it comes to undergarments, make sure all are cotton and breathable as you will be sweating profusely while travelling. Fabrics like cotton and linen will be a good choice. When it comes to clothes, cotton-t shirts, tank tops, dresses, skirts, comfortable shorts, swim-wear, as well as long-sleeved blouses, trousers and skirts will be useful especially when visiting places of religious worship.

4

Foot-wear/ Miscellaneous

Sandals, slippers and trekking shoes will be important depending on your level of activity and interests. Other important items will include a first aid kit with items like pain-killers, plasters, imodium, cold and flu medication tablets, as well as Insect and mosquito repellents. Camera, drone and any underwater equipment like snorkelling gear will also be a great addition, especially if you intend on snorkelling and diving in many of the fantastic locations around the country.

5

Gadgets and electronics

When it comes to electronics make sure to include an underwater camera and drone to capture all those special occasions. The scenic beauty of Sri Lanka is unreal, so make sure you are well prepared. Carry a multi- socket adapter in case your chargers are not compatible. However, it is best to limit the usage of extensive electronic equipment as you will be able to truly disengage and relax in the many splendid beaches of Sri Lanka.
