Gregory Lake

Located smack dab in the middle of Nuwara Eliya town, Gregory Lake is a man-made lake which was created during colonial times by then-Governor William Gregory. At the lake, one can enjoy a delightful boat ride on swan-shaped paddleboats, indulge in some snacks sold by local vendors, and simply relax on the manicured banks of the lake. Take in Vicotria Park

Visit the Nuwara Eliya Post Office

A scenic remnant from Nuwara Eliya’s rich colonial past, the Nuwara Eliya Post Office was first built in the year 1894 and is housed in a beautifully maintained Tudor Manor. A prominent landmark in the little township of Nuwara Eliya, this attraction also happens to be the oldest post office in Sri Lanka and was once even featured in a stamp in the year 1990.
