A denture is a removable dental appliance replacement for missing teeth and surrounding tissue. The purpose of a denture is to help enhance the function, restore quality of life and esthetics. There are two types of dentures – complete and partial dentures. Complete dentures are used when all of the teeth are missing, while partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain. A partial denture not only fills in the spaces created by missing teeth, it prevents other teeth from shifting.
While most of our patients plan their regular checkups, none of them plan to need our other dental services, but that doesn’t mean they don’t occasionally need to spend a little extra time in our chairs. Everyone experiences general dental problems from time to time, and we are happy to help. General dentistry can mean anything from a loose filling to a root canal (and everything in between), and our team at Riverfront Dental can provide professional advice and care, no matter what it is.
