IPad apps in the classroom

Here is a list of apps I have successfully used to support learning in my classroom.

A free app that can be used in so many ways. Use to create posters by adding your own photos or web images and text. An absolute favourite with my students.

Educreations turns your iPad into a recordable whiteboard. Creating a great video tutorial is as simple as touching, tapping and talking. Explain a math formula... Create an animated lesson... Add commentary to your photos... Diagram a sports play...

Shadow Puppet

A free app that allows you to make presentations using photos and voice recordings. Very easy to use for younger students.




Many possibilities! Students link to a themed presentation that the teacher controls on their device. It is interactive, students are able to complete activities that the teacher can monitor.

A fantastic, safe blogging site for kids. A great way to introduce kids to blogging. Easy to use ipad app, I've had a class of 6 year olds using it and uploading images/ video to the blog.




A must! IPad version doesn't have as many features but easy to use and share movies.
