Top 7 Must-Visit Theme Parks in Singapore - For an exhilarating time in Lion City

For a tiny country, the number of theme parks in Singapore is impressive! Offshore islands like Sentosa will keep you on your toes, with a range of theme parks and entertainment options. Here are some suggestions so you can make a beeline to the best parks around Singapore.

1

Universal Studios

The only Universal Studios in South Asia is in Singapore, and it is one of the most visited theme parks in the region. You can find over 20 attractions like Ancient Egypt, Far Far Away, Lost World, New York, Madagascar and more. Some famous rides include Transformers 3D Battle, Revenge of The Mummy and Jurassic Park Rapids. You can also meet lovable characters like the Minions and Shrek. Kids and adults are all in for a gala time with the number of attractions available to suit all tastes

2

Wild Wild Wet

This water theme park has loads of variety with a combination of fun-filled rides and slides. Some of the best rides include the 'Shiok River', which allows you to float on a creek while 'Ular-Lah' is the foremost white-water rafting-inspired ride in Southeast Asia. Wild Wild Wet is the perfect way to cool down on a hot and humid Singaporean day!

3

Adventure Cove Waterpark

Adventure Cove is at Resorts World Sentosa and is among the best in Singapore. You have the option of going on thrilling fun rides like Rainbow Reef and Ray Bay to get up close to almost 20,000 types of fish. There are 16 other water-based activities if you are not fond of plummeting down giant underpasses or meandering around funnels and rubber rings.

4

Haw Par Villa

Sometimes called the Tiger Balm Gardens, this theme park is centred on Chinese mythological characters. The park was built by the Au brothers, the creators of the medicinal rub, Tiger Balm. You will encounter many striking figures made out of concrete and plaster like that of the Monkey God, the Lady White Snake, the Divine Maiden, and Wu Song.
The main attraction here is the Ten Courts of Hell, depicting different punishments inflicted on humans for engaging in killing, gambling, lying, drinking, stealing and adultery. Other additions include a newly built roller-coaster, boat rides and theatrical concerts of Chinese myths and legends. 5

Skyline Luge in Sentosa

Although not a theme park per se, debuting in 2005, it is the premier luge in Southeast Asia. This half-go-cart- toboggan is an exhilarating gravity-defying ride that will leave you breathless. It has a distinctive braking and steering system allowing one to ride as you see fit.
Skyline Luge has 2 options to choose from. The Luge is a 3-wheeled carrier and a non-motorised self-driven car. Its track is a 650-metre pathway stretching from Imbiah Lookout to Siloso Beach. Another is the Skyride – an open-cabled chairlift with sensational panoramas overlooking nearby beaches up to Imbiah Lookout.

6

Snow City Singapore

Snow City is Singapore's first snow centre. At this indoor snow park, you can play with snow, visit life-sized ice sculptures, ride snow tubes, and try lots of fun winter games. This is the perfect place for children and adults to cool off from the humidity of Singapore. There are several zones with interactive exhibitions and a thrilling 60-metre drop down a slippery slope.

7

Nestopia

Nestopia is a seaside open-air play park perfect for kids and adults alike. There are seventeen sections to let your kids run riot! They can climb, jump, and slide to their heart's content.
Some of its highlights are the obstacle courses, which are netted to connect 3 massive nests. They also have two of the lengthiest slides found on Sentosa!
