The 250-metre stretch of pristine white sand may define Silver Beach as one of the smallest on the beach-rich island, but as any lucky soul who has been to this little slice of beach heaven would certainly agree, the beach's smaller size is made negligible by the mind-blowing scenery that surrounds the rugged stretch of shore. As you soak in the breathtaking view of the azure waters, venture towards the eastern shores where a plethora of relaxed beach activities beckon. The seven-kilometre-long Chaweng Beach is not only the largest beach in Koh Samui but is also often referred to as the best on the idyllic Thai island. However, Chaweng Beach's wide popularity means the chances of bigger crowds are pretty high, but with seven kilometres of palm-fringed beach, it couldn't be anything that will ruin your beach fun.
Chaweng Noi Beach is, without a doubt, the finest stretch of beach on the eastern coast of Koh Samui. It is arguably the most secluded and laid-back slice of beach in the east, thanks to the narrow inlet that acts as a natural barrier and creates a sort of Chaweng Noi's own little sanctuary, separated from other adjacent Chaweng beaches. If a relaxed beach ambience with oodles of peace and quiet sounds like your idea of beach fun, Chaweng Noi is the beach for you.
The second largest beach of Koh Samui, Lamai Beach, is often referred to as the smaller and more laid-back version of Chaweng. The crowds are far less on this slice of beach, and the ambience is definitely more tranquil, which has many tourists to Koh Samui preferring Lamai over Chaweng. Despite Lamai being a whole lot less touristy, there's no shortage of activities to be enjoyed and are just as exciting.
The three-kilometre stretch of beach is blessed with alluring waters, pristine sand, and swaying palms just as most other beaches on the Thai island, but what draws the crowds to Bophut Beach that other beaches don't is the serene Fisherman's Village. Untouched and still intact, Fisherman's Village smack dab in the middle of the beach is all about treating you to authentic seaside experiences.
