5 Incredible Things to Do in Mui Ne — Away From the Beach

The coastal village of Mui Ne, a top tourist destination in Vietnam, offers plenty of opportunities for waterpots and chilling on the beach. But the area is also home to a variety of attractions that are not based on sun, sand and sea. Check out these incredible non-beach things to do in Mui Ne.

1

Be a Foodie

Nothing is simpler than letting out the foodie in you while on holiday, one of the best things to do in Mui Ne, being a foodie there exposes you to a variety of Vietnamese cuisine. The area being compact is pretty easy to explore, and when on a foodie tour you will not be disappointed. Discover a range of delicious food options at the local eateries focusing on both local delights and international favourites. Places like L'Anmien located at Anantara Mui Ne Resort offer a variety of mouth-watering local dishes in stunning settings while places like BiBo are noted for their menu of fresh seafood. Check out the variety; whole red snapper cooked to perfection, oysters with wasabi, clams with peanuts and beef ramen are some of the favourites while a visit to the Dong Vui Food Court located not too far from your Mui Ne resort will yield a range of Indian, Vietnamese, and Thai options.

2

Enjoy a Sunset Cocktail

If chilling is your idea of a great holiday, choose a Mui Ne beach resort where you can enjoy a sunset cocktail on the terrace or garden. It's food for the soul and one of the more rewarding experiences for relaxing and enjoying the pretty surroundings of Mui Ne.

3

Wade Across the Fairy Stream

This is a shallow stream that makes its way through limestone columns. You can purchase entrance tickets and take the roughly 2 mile loop tour along the stream. Plenty of foliage along the banks offers shade from the sun, while the waters swirling around you are cool and inviting.

4

Check Out the Po Shanu Cham Towers

These are relics left from the Cham Empire and have withstood the test of time since the 9th century. Located about five miles from the centre of town the towers are still a place of worship located along the route to the Ta Ku Mountains. Situated at the summit of Ong Hoang Hill the twin towers are an interesting place to explore if you are a culture buff, if you are not go there for the experience and stunning views across the area all the way to the ocean.

5

Ride the Cable Car to Ta Ku Mountain

This top attraction in Mui Ne is located about 30 miles from your resort there. You can rent a bike or car and make the journey in under an hour or ask your resort in Mui Ne about booking a tour. Take the cable car ride to the top of the mountain where you can explore the shrines home to a giant reclining statue of the Buddha. The views are magnificent and deserve plenty of attention so go there with enough time for exploring and appreciating the attraction.
