Just a hop, skip and a jump from the Hoi An Ancient Town, An Bang Beach remains one of the more unspoiled beaches that Vietnam has to offer, It’s an idyllic beach to swim safely in, sunbath to one’s heart’s content, paddle-board and catch some waves. A Bang Beach is also lined with some fantastic bars, bistros and restaurants and offers some great views of the neighbouring Cham and Da Nang Island and Marble Mountain.

2

Quy Nhon Beach

A spectacular golden sandy beach that covers the entire city’s coastline, Quy Nhon Beach tends to be passed over in favour of the more secluded beaches in the area. However, it's easily accessible, immaculately maintained and happens to be mostly empty and devoid of large crowds during the day. Those keen on getting a spot of exercise can make use of a lovely promenade that runs alongside this beach with a brisk walk or a bike ride. Quy Nhon Beach comes with a series of parks great for relaxing and designated areas for safe swimming with lifeguards on duty during the day. Quy Nhon Beach also happens to be bordered by some of the best beach resorts in Vietnam such as the likes of Anantara Quy Nhon Villas.

Star Beach, Phu Quoc

Located on the east coast of Phu Quoc, Star Beach is renowned for being one of the beaches in Vietnam – mostly in part to its stunningly white sands and tranquil waters. Star Beach also embodies a delightful yet peaceful atmosphere and is a great spot to visit with friends and families. Activities to enjoy at Star Beach include snorkelling, kayaking, and a host of other water activities.

Queen Beach

Also known as Bai Trung in Vietnamese, Queen Beach has been named to honour the memory of the country’s last empresses – Queen Nam Phuong, who routinely visited the beach to rest and relax.  The local name Bai Trung directly translates to stone egg beach due to the large round rocks found on the beach that resemble giant eggs. To access Queen Beach, one has to enter via the Ghenh Rang Landscape Park. Do make it a point to stop by Café Giai Khat located by the entrance to the beach if you have time to enjoy a beverage of your choice and drink in the incredible views of Quh Nhon Beach from its open courtyard.

5

Eo Gio Beach

Those looking to explore the more dramatic aspects of Vietnam’s coastline should make their way to EoGio. Here the terrain is rugged, interesting and laid out with well-worn tracks which one can hike along to explore the many caves and hillside cliffs found around Eo Gio. Do note that it’s not possible to swim at this rocky beach but one can join locals in collecting seafood, exploring rock pools, and possibly enjoy overnight camping. (Tents can be rented from the ticket booth located by the entrance of the beach for just USD 15 – this includes pillows and blankets)
