5 Excellent Reasons to Visit Maldives With Your Family - Make your holiday a fun-filled and memorable one for the family

Cocooned by the gently lapping waves of the Indian Ocean, the tiny islands of the Maldives hold a quintessential beauty with not only scenic beaches, and swaying palms but also the spectacular coral reefs enticing many visitors including families to experience its charm and gracious hospitality.

1

Well-planned facilities

Taking the best advantage of the natural beauty of the islands and offering it to pleasantly surprise their valued guests are just a few of the smart initiatives taken by the customer-centric Maldives family resorts. Despite being close to the ocean there are swimming pools with a good view of the lush greenery and natural beauty of the surroundings so that families can still enjoy pool facilities and even the conveniently located tennis courts to help keep the adults and children fit in addition to spending quality time together.

2

Family Accommodation

There are beach houses and villas specially curated for families at many of the resorts such as Kuramathi Maldives. These accommodation units are usually comprised of two bedrooms with an attached bathroom with a bath, and a shower, and may even have an outdoor rain shower in addition to a vanity unit. All children love these special features when they are indoors although they equally love to spend time at the beach. In addition to the inviting and comfy bedding in the rooms, there are wooden sundecks and random day beds with spectacular views of the ocean giving them ample hours of lazy lounging and having family fun.

3

Kids Clubs

Taking a great interest in keeping their youngest guests entertained many resorts have unique Kids Clubs operating daily from about 8.30 am to 7.00 pm, although the timing may vary slightly these clubs are held in a spacious area generally for children between the ages of 3 to 15. This practical arrangement keeps the children occupied with many child-friendly activities such as board games, musical chairs, drawing and colouring and even a few outdoor games. These are much enjoyed by the children as they are together with a bigger group of children to interact and play with.

4

Underwater Marine Life

Just as much as the islands are picturesque there is so much beauty underwater too which can be experienced by your family. Whilst some resorts have their house reef, there are also reefs surrounding the islands making it possible to give a glimpse of the underwater life to your children at many resorts of the Maldives. These breathtaking corals are teeming with over 1000 species of colourful fish to delight all family members on a snorkelling excursion.

5

Evening Entertainment

When the days’ excursions are done, there is still a longing to do something when the family is on holiday. Live music provided in the lounges can get your toes tapping to the beat of music whilst a lazy day can be spent watching a movie on the beach with your favourite bites. These activities can be planned by the parents to keep the children’s spirits high.
