The best beaches on Palm Jumeirah Dubai – Top 5 spotless beaches for some much-needed R&R!

They might be artificial, but the beaches of Palm Jumeirah are certainly impressive! Dubai’s famed man-made archipelago which takes the shape of a palm tree and spans an impressive shoreline covering a whopping 78 km borders luxurious resorts, extravagant restaurants, and chic cafes. Here are the top five beaches to experience it all!

1

Kite Beach

Ideal for water sports, Kite Beach is renowned for its immaculate stretches of golden sandy shores. Plus, the beach comes with a 14 km track which is perfect for a beachside jog or walks during a serene morning. This beach is very popular with adventurous beachgoers for kitesurfing, stand-up paddleboarding, wakeboarding and for those who like staying on land - beach volleyball. Located just off the exclusive Jumeirah neighbourhood, one can find many water sports centres where you can rent high-quality equipment.

2

Jumeriah Beach

One of the top things to do in Dubai is to check out Jumeriah Beach which also happens to be the best public beach in the city, conveniently reachable by many resorts such as Avani+ Palm View Dubai Hotel & Suites. A relatively crowded beach, Jumeirah Beach nevertheless remains a great location to relax whilst basking in the sun. Jumeirah Beach also offers plenty of restaurants, cafes, water-based activities, and exhilarating sports to enjoy while private cabanas offer shade from the harsh mid-day sun.

3

Al Sufouh Beach

Nicknamed the ‘’Secret Beach’’, Al Sufouh Beach is regarded as one of Dubai’s hidden gems! It is especially ideal for those looking for some quiet time away from the large crowds that Dubai’s other beaches tend to attract.  Here one can treat themselves to an idyllic stroll on soft sandy shores and the feeling of salty sea breeze against the skin. Do note that this rather secluded beach does not have any food outlets or other facilities so it would be a good idea to pack a picnic lunch and account for the missing facilities. On the other hand, the shallow waters at Al Sufouh Beach are great for children to splash about safely.

4

La Mer

Offering everything from thrilling water slides, gourmet dining, and endless high-end shopping to movies on the beach, La Mer Beach has something for the whole family. An expansive beachfront venue, La Mer certainly has a lot of entertainment options and is one of the most popular attractions in Dubai. Plus, it’s one of the most Intagrammable beaches in Dubai, especially thanks to its novel landscaping and artistic features such as an array of towering palm trees.

5

Sunset Beach

Also known as Umm Suqeim Beach, Sunset Beach comes with incredible sunset vistas come dusk – hence its namesake. It’s among the quieter beaches among Jumeirah’s shore offerings making it a great place to head to for a morning jog along the immaculately maintained running track that borders the beach. Or come early evening a great spot to find a quaint nook or cranny to catch up on your reading – there’s even a handy library station for borrowing or donating books!
