Constructed during the reign of Emperor Liang in the Nan Dynasty, Nanchan Temple is a shrine that was subjected to several name changes with the said attraction originally referred to as ‘Huguo Temple.’ However, its current name Nanchan Temple has stuck on through changing times owing to the location of the Temple being found at the South Gate of Wuxi. While an entrance fee of 33 Yuan will be incurred from every entrant, the highlight sure to draw your attention will be ascending the 43.3-meter, 7-storey tall pagoda. Once at its summit, one will be awed by the breathtaking panoramas of Wuxi which in turn, will demand that you have your camera ready to begin clicking away.
