Top 05 Things to Do in Langkawi – For a fun well-rounded experience

The beautiful Langkawi Island happens to be one of Malaysia’s most popular beach destinations and is home to stunning landscapes, historical structures, expansive parks and some truly pristine golden beaches. Considering a visit to the island anytime soon? Then here is a list of the top five things to do during your getaway in a tropical paradise.

1

Walk along the Langkawi Sky Bridge

Offering terrifying but panoramic aerial views of the stunningly beautiful island, the Langkawi Sky Bride is a 124-meter-long curved pedestrian bridge that stands at a whopping altitude of 700 m above sea level. It’s a great place to relax, enjoy a cool sea breeze, take in uninterrupted vistas of the azure blue Andaman Sea dotted with several islets of Langkawai and snap some Instagram-worthy pictures. The sky bridge can also be reached via a cable car (which can accommodate 250 people at a time) as well. Do note that the sky bridge is closed to the public on Sundays.

2

Have fun at Pantai Cenang Beach

The busiest beach on the island, Pantai Cenang is crowded with plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants and exudes distinctively welcoming tourist vibes, and the best part about it there are many beach resorts in he area including Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa often regarded as the best resort in Langkawi. Plus, this popular beach spot is just a mere 10-minute drive from the airport and is a great spot to simply kick back, and relax while enjoying delicious seafood. To get your adrenaline pumping why not try some fun water sports such as jet skiing?

3

Head off on a ziplining adventure

Is there anything more thrilling and fun than zipping high above the lush and dense rainforest of Malaysia? The Langkawi Ziplining Adventure is located in Umgawa Legendary Adventures, 7 Wells Waterfall, Jalan Telaga Tujuh. During the excursion, you will get to whizz over 200-meter-long stretches. There is a total of 12 ziplines that cut across gorgeous waterfalls offering unending vistas of the jungle canopy and will set you back approximately INR 3,800.

4

Featuring a fascinating blend of culture and modernity, the pristine hamlet of Air Hangat is renowned for its hot water spring wells known to carry natural saltwater – which happens to be quite rare not only on the island but across the larger continent as well. Air Hangat is open to the public every day from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm and will cost INR 180 onwards for entry and to relax in the hot water spring well.
