The best beaches in Dubai: Sun, Sand, and Sea – Experience unlimited beach fun!

Did you know that you can find miles upon miles of fine sandy beaches juxtapositioned against the stunningly blue waters of the Arabic Gulf in Dubai? Mostly man-made, delightfully clean, and replete with a plethora of facilities, Dubai’s beaches are among the top seaside destinations in which to experience unlimited beach fun! Read on to discover more.

1

JBR Open Beach

Easily the biggest and the best beach in Dubai, the sprawling Open Beach covers the complete Jumeirah Beach Residence area. Visitors can access full facilities every couple of hundred yards (all kept spotlessly clean), and plenty of places to load up on food and snacks. Plus, there are plenty of spots where one can rent water sports equipment and beach toys such as jet skis and wave runners. For those keen on staying firmly planted on land, there are e-bikes and scooters for rent as well. There are lifeguards on duty with designated swimming areas roped off with buoys. Do note that while the beach is open all night, swimming after sunset is strictly prohibited.

2

La Mer

Offering a curated family-friendly beach experience replete with beachfront shopping, dining and water-based activities, La Mer is a man-made beach development.  Apart from the beautiful and scrupulously clean sandy beach, one can also check out a fantastic open-air mall home to fine dining restaurants, cafes, and concept stores.  If you are keen to get off the beach for a while, consider making your way to the onsite water park to cool off from the heat. La Mer beach can be reached easily from many a Deira hotel in Dubai including the likes of Avani Deira Dubai Hotel.

3

Al Sufouh Beach

Also known as Black Palace Beach and Secret Beach, this particular spot is beautiful, raw, and devoid of vendors, bathrooms, or sun loungers. It's ideal for those who are keen on enjoying relaxing beach time and the welcoming aqua-blue waters away from large crowds. Plus, one can also feast their eyes on a panoramic view of the Persian Gulf with a view of the Burj Al Arab to boot!

Open Beach

Located in the Jumeriah area, this stunning beach is also known by locals as Jumeriah Public Beach and lies in close proximity to La Mer Beach. Open Beach is quite a popular spot with the local Emiratis who tend to flock here to enjoy picnics and watch sunsets with family and friends. Open Beach is kept extremely clean and comes replete with good facilities such as changing rooms, showers, and bathrooms. While there are no places to dine at Open Beach, one can head to Mercato Mall, which lies adjacent to where one can take their pick from plenty of dining options.

Dubai Marina

Featuring a wide and flat beach, the Dubai Marina is located in a luxury residential area. The water is warm and inviting, and completely safe to swim in. ( There are lifeguards on duty throughout the day). Dubai Marine also runs parallel along a bustling boardwalk known as The Walk where one can check out ice-cream shops, little cafes, restaurants, and shops!
