Top 5 must-visit parks and natural attractions in Dubai – Discover the City of Gold’s Beautiful Green Spaces

While Dubai might have garnered itself a reputation as a modern and fast-paced cosmopolitan city replete with sky-high iconic skyscrapers, it also happens to be home to an incredible amount of lovely green spaces well worth spending time in. Here’s a carefully curated list of verdant natural spaces that should definitely be on your list of top places to visit in Dubai.

1

Al Safa Park

Delightfully lush, Al Safa Park happens to be one of Dubai’s oldest parks. First opened to the public in the year 1975, Al Safa Park spans a whopping 64 hectares. Located on Sheikh Zayed Road and boarded by Al Hadiqa Street and Al Wasl Road, this urban park is the ideal place to spend your weekends enjoying picnics and barbecues with family and friends. It's well worth noting that most attractions and things to do here have been specifically designed keeping special needs visitors in mind as well. This leafy sanctuary located in the middle of the city can be easily reached from many hotels in Dubai such as the likes of Anantara Downtown Dubai.

2

Creekside Park

Among some of the top things to do in Dubai include visiting Creekside Park located on the lovely banks of Dubai Creek – Bur Dubai. One of the largest public green spaces in this metropolitan city, Creekside Park is packed to the brim with a mini-golf course, sprawling lawns, mazes, gardens, children’s play areas and even a dolphinarium! If you happen to be visiting this space with little ones in tow, do make sure to check out Children’s City – an interactive space where your kids can learn about the world while having plenty of fun.

3

Jumeriah Beach Park

Covering a seemingly endless stretch of beautiful gardens, children’s areas and BBQ pits, Jumeirah Beach Park is considered to be one of the city’s best attractions. Designed to offer visitors a welcoming space to escape the region’s high temperatures and relax in a picture-postcard worthing setting, Jumeirah Beach Park is best visited during early mornings or evenings. The park is located on Jumeirah Beach Road and lies in close proximity to Downtown Dubai. The attraction is open to the public daily from 7 am to 11 pm.

4

Zabeel Park

A sprawling park covering the equivalent of 45 football fields, Zabeel Park is renowned for being the first technology-driven park in the entire Gulf. Located between the World Trade Centre and Al Karama on Sheikh Zayed Road, Zabeel Park is home to over 3000 palm trees and over 7000 other plants and trees all of which lend the park a beautiful and verdant feel.
