You might even end up a little confused – not knowing which street food corner to try. We've compiled a list on behalf of foodies visiting Bangkok.

1

Try the Maeklong Noodles & Leng Sap

The Maeklong Noodles & Leng Sap is located close to many a hotel in Bangkok Sathorn. For example, it is just an 18-minute drive away from the Chatrium Residence Sathon Bangkok. They've been serving hot bowls of spicy pork spine soup since 2016. The chefs slowly simmer pork bones for hours to extract all the goodness and flavour. They finish the soup with a selection of fragrant fish sauces and serve the dish with a side of rice.

2

Try the Heng Hoi Tod Chaw Lae

First established in 1973 in Phuket, the Heng Hoi Tod Chaw Lae has captured the taste buds of many with its hot and aromatic sauces that go into the 'Hoy Tod'. This dish is made with omelettes concocted with oysters or mussels along with bean sprouts. The savoury egg batter comes out crispy and delicious at the end. You can pair Hoy Tod with stir-fried noodles. The Hoy Tod at Heng Hoi Tod Chaw Lae offers a rather distinct flavour from regular versions.

3

Try the Jok Prince

If you love porridge and crave this essential comfort food while travelling, you can quit feeling blue. Jok Prince offers an extensive and delicious selection of porridges. You can get some silky-smooth Cantonese-style congee with pork balls along with bits of shredded ginger and spring onions. You can even select your add-ons (even century eggs). You can simply ask the chefs to make the porridge the way you like it and tuck it into comfort.

4

Try the Jay Fai

This popular street food stall has been cooking up a delectable storm since the 1980s. Chef and owner Supinya takes pride in her dishes, and some even call this place the Queen of Bangkok's Street food arena. This street food stall is well-known for its crispy, golden-brown crab omelette. You can watch the chef whip up your omelette wearing her black goggles. On most days, the Jay Fai attracts a large crowd, and the peak hours are from 12 pm to 2 pm. You can avoid this hungry crowd and choose another time slot to enjoy the omelettes in peace.

5

Try the Talay Tord Saladaeng

Would you fancy biting into a crispy and scrumptious seafood selection? If so, the Talay Tord Saladaeng is the perfect spot for you. This street food stall is located in Silom, which incidentally is well-known for its lively environs. You shouldn't have much trouble finding the place. Talay Tord Saladaeng is pretty well-known amongst the locals. The chefs offer a selection of three types of seafood. You can get crab, shrimp or squid. All these come to you in deep-fried form. You can enjoy your fried seafood with a sweet and sour dipping sauce made to perfection.
