5 flavoursome dishes for Eid Al Fitr - The most delicious Eid food

Eid Al Fitr is more into sweets, unlike Eid Al Adha, but yet... it also has a variety of culinary specialties. Although there can be differences in the tastes of these dishes depending on the country they are made in, they all have one base. Here's a list of great dishes for you to try out.

1

Laasida

After Eid prayers, Muslims often start the day with Laasida. It looks and tastes like a rice pudding, but has more sweetness, thanks to honey, couscous, and butter.

2

Tagine

If you head to NH Collection Dubai The Palm which houses some of the best restaurants in Dubai this festive season, you will get the chance to taste tagine. Although tagine is normally made with chicken, Muslims add lamb with a nice blend of dried fruits when this dish is presented as an Eid dish.

3

Biryani

Biryani is a world-famous dish equally enjoyed by everyone, but Biryani prepared by Muslims for their festivals is unmatchable. Spices are added to the rice as well as meat used, and this makes this dish much more scrumptious. Generally, a yogurt-based mini-dish is also served together with Biryani and they call it "raita".

Bolani

You have tried out lasagna and pizza before, haven't you? Bolani is an exact combination of these two food items, but it tastes much better than you imagine. Bolani is great for Eid lunch or even dinner.

5

Aseeda

Yemen is also a country that has a considerable Islamic population, and Aseeda is a dish that originated from there. This dish is equally popular in Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

6

Manti

Simply put, Manti means stuffed meat dumplings that look cute. On Eid Il Fitr, Muslims share Manti with each other promoting harmony between them.

7

Lokum

Lokum is a dish that's greatly popular in Turkey. As per the Turkish language, Lokum means happiness, and that name is surely accurate. When preparing this dish, sugar, flour, and dried fruits are used.

8

Cambaarbur

Quite popular in countries like Somalia, Cambaabur is a simple dish that's equally getting popular in the UAE as well. Locals mix all kinds of species with bread here, and then finally sugar and yogurt are added. Once you know its taste, you can simply try this out at home.

9

Maamoul

There's no difference literally between a shortbread cookie and Maamoul. This dish does not come from the UAE but from two regions- Lebanon and Syria. In Maamoul, you find a lot of dry fruits, and this makes the dish too kid-friendly.

10

Kleicha

If you have enjoyed Maamoul before, you will quickly realize that Kleicha also tastes the same. Not just the taste, but their texture is also the same. This d

Lapis Legit

If you wonder what would be Eid food that you could prepare faster, then Lapis Legit is of course not your option. Since this is basically a cake that has different layers, making this tasty dish requires time and patience as well. Lapis Legit originated in Indonesia and ever since then it has been a preferred dish by the tourists.
