The capital of Hokkaido the northernmost prefecture of Japan, Sapporo abounds with natural beauty and a cooler climate turning into a beautiful snow-capped city in winter. It is widely known for great shopping, delightful food, and places to see complemented by festivals and events over the year.

Mount Moiwa

This mountain situated about 5km southwest of the centre of Sapporo is a must-visit location for most visitors to the capital city of Sapporo, including guests at new hotels in Sapporo. To reach the top of the mountain you can take a cable car or for the more adventurous a hike is possible. The view from the summit is spectacular be it during the day or at night with the twinkling of lights below.

Mugs and Mugs of Ale

Beer from Sapporo is world-renowned and well-loved. The township has been brewing its famous ale for almost one hundred and fifty years. The Beer Museum is an iconic building which had previously been a brewery. Visitors are given an opportunity to taste the different types of beer while they tour and learn about the art of brewing beer. The tour ends with a gastronomic delight of a Japanese barbecue accompanied by mugs and mugs of ale.

Tanukikoji Shopping Arcade

About 200 shops are included in this covered arcade stretching for at least 01 km making it a convenient place to shop at irrespective of the weather. With plenty of shops offering souvenirs, clothes and other fascinating ware this arcade also houses bars and many eateries patronized by visitors from Travelodge Sapporo Susukino.

Sapporo clock tower

A fine landmark standing tall since 1878, this clock tower signifies the history and culture of Sapporo during the colonial era and is also the timekeeper of the city chiming the hour daily. Visit the museum on the first floor to learn more about the history of the clock tower and on the second floor to view the various displays.

Odori Park

The proud location of the Snow Festival each year, Odori park is an enormous one spread over 15 blocks. Experience the locals and visitors enjoying a stroll here to get away from their hectic schedules. The picturesque flower gardens, well-placed fountains, sculptures, and fine trees make it appeal to your senses.

Sapporo city Maruyama Zoo
