Wreaths are sometimes thought of as a Christmas-only decoration. This is a short-sighted view, as a beautiful wreath can be used to decorate a home for any season. Wreaths made to celebrate the autumn months can be very attractive home decorations.

First I am going to share with you how I to make the base of the wreath. How you want to embellish is up to you, but I’ll show you what I did to mine to. I may or may not have cheated a little, but you’ll just have to read through to see how cause it’s kind of a secret.
Happy Friday! This morning, I posted a snippet of today's gorgeous, fall yarn wreath on Facebook, and asked for suggestions for naming it. Thank you to Diane who suggested "Autumn Welcome." Perfect! To make today's 'Autumn Welcome' Yarn Wreath, use a thick, chunky yarn and you'll have it wrapped up in no time.
Is it just me or does it feel like Fall is taking FOREVER to get here this year?! I have actually had this wreath ready to go since the first of August, but the hubby refused to let me hang it until the first week of September. Don't get me wrong... I love Summer, but Fall decor is my absolute favorite (other than Christmas)!
I decided I wanted to attempt a fall wreath as well, but had a hard time finding the right autumn-y swag. It had to be just right, Full and expensive looking, but not actually expensive. I finally found a winner at Jo-Ann. It was shimmery and unique, and beautiful.
To put together the wreath I covered a straw wreath form in burlap ribbon and wired it to a wispy grapevine wreath. I actually used the brown wired branch that held the garland together! Way to repurpose, right?
September is always a funny month here. One day {yesterday} it still feels like summer with temperatures above 90 degrees. Then, the next {today} the temperature will top out in the 70s. It is really hard to feel like decorating for one season or another because you are constantly being thrown between two seasons.
How can it possibly be that fall is here already? I feel like just yesterday I shared with you my summer wreath! Well, the season has changed and so has my front door decor. My summer wreath was cutesy, made from fabric and yarn.
