Baoen Temple is a Buddhist temple located in Suzhou, China. It was built during the Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD) and is one of the oldest temples in the city. The temple's name, Baoen, means "to preserve peace and security" in Chinese. The temple is known for its intricate carvings and sculptures, including a large statue of the bodhisattva Guanyin, the goddess of compassion and mercy. The temple also has a pagoda, which is a nine-storeyed structure that stands at a height of more than 60 feet. Visitors can climb to the top of the pagoda for a panoramic view of the city. Baoen Temple is also famous for its beautiful gardens; the temple's garden is a great example of the traditional Chinese garden design.
