Bangalore Palace

Bangalore Fort

Spread over a mile of distance and surrounded by wide moats and nine large gates, the fort was of solid masonry with 26 towers with ramparts at intervals. Having commenced work in 1537  as a mud fort it was fortified as a stone fort in 1761 by Hyder Ali and further improved by his son Tipu Sultan in the latter part of the 18th century. This Fort is a living reminder of a historical conflict between the kingdom of and the British Colonials.

Manchanabele Dam

About an hour's drive from the city of Bangalore, this dam is built across the Arkavathy River and fulfils the requirements of water to the nearby town of Magadi. Visitors and locals enjoy a trip to this dam to witness the huge body of water, and the serene surroundings and indulge in activities like trekking, boating, camping etc.

The broad stairway in front and the giant pillars add majesty and stature to this largest legislature-cum-office building in India. Although entry is restricted, viewing from a distance even is an impressive experience.
