Visit Pakati Market (the Sunday Market)

Streaks of vibrant hues and a bustling hive of activity greet you at this enchanting market every Sunday from 9 am onwards till 5 pm. A fascinating selection of handmade Zambian art, jewellery, clothing and craft items abound at this market enticing visitors with their gleam and glamour. An ideal place to mingle with the locals, interact with the stall keepers and pick souvenirs and gifts for your loved ones such as carved animals, stone studded jewellery, backpacks and more. Be a part of a traditional festival

With a population of 18 million people consisting of 73 ethnic groups, it is no wonder that Zambia is a country full of traditional festivals throughout the year. As most of these festivals happen from July to October which is the summer vacation for most visitors these are the best times to visit Zambia to witness these colourful parades sometimes down the river, traditional songs being sung, musical events, cultural parades and several dance forms showcasing Zambian talent. A dip at the Devil’s Pool at Victoria Falls

A great beauty and natural attraction in Livingstone, the tourist centre of Zambia, Victoria Falls is one of the largest waterfalls in the world at the boundry between Zimbabwe and Zambia. With a height of 354 feet and a width of 5,604 feet, this beauty is called Mosi-oa Tunya meaning the smoke that thunders in the Lozi language, referring to the force with which it cascades down. During July to August, considered the dry season in Zambia visitors can enjoy an invigorating dip in the natural infinity pool that forms at the bottom of the falls called the Devil’s Pool.
