Camping in the summer months is a soul-satisfying adventure, doing it near Whistler is an awesome way to savour the distinctly Canadian landscape of alpine fields and scenic lakes complemented by exciting nightlife and activities to get your adrenaline pumping and have that unforgettable holiday.

Nairn Falls

Located 32km north of Whistler at Nairn Falls Provincial Park village, in British Columbia (BC), Canada Nairn Falls is an ideal site for camping with magnificent scenery to make you love the site. A hiking trail close to 2km takes you to a viewpoint of one of the Whistler tourist attractions, the spectacular Nairn Falls dropping from a height of 60 metres. Another slightly longer trail takes you to a popular swimming area near One Mile Lake. The basic facilities of pit toilets and the water pump do not take away the enchantment of this site.

Riverside Resort

Situated just to the north of Whistler, lying close to Green Lake, the Recreation Vehicle (RV) sites here offer splendid views of the surrounding mountains making it an endearing location. Fully equipped with a sewage system, electricity, water and even limited free wifi facilities make it very attractive to summertime revellers. Each campsite comes with a picnic table and a fire pit to get that authentic camping vibes alive. The additional comfort stations with bathrooms, coin-operated showers etc plus a shuttle service to the village during summertime make Riverside a well-loved campsite.

Whistler RV Park

Lying 17km to the south of Whistler, this is a forested property of 104 acres. With 102 large pull-through sites available throughout the year, this has electricity, sewer and water hookups and shower facilities. A hike to the 200-foot waterfall at Brandywine is a treat and so are the frisbee golf and Wiffle golf available on site. The Brew mountain café available on site is an added attraction which is enjoyed by visitors from Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre who like to spend a day here.

Owl creek recreation site

Tucked between Birkenhead river and Owl Creek, this site not being usually crowded offers a different camping experience. With a dry forest site with tables, fire rings and outhouses and bear-proof food caches, this campsite is thoroughly enjoyed by campers who come in groups. Fishing at the creek complements other camping activities here. The apple orchard remaining from the homestead it used to be is attractive to campers as well as to wandering bears.

Garibaldi Lake

Situated 30km south of Whistler, Garibaldi campsite is a beautiful and popular one amongst camping enthusiasts. The roundtrip hike to the lake is about 18km and the tent sites are close to the turquoise and calm mountain water which is glacial cold.

Taylor Meadows Campground

Located closer to the Garibaldi Lake this is another scenic campsite with a surrounding forest and pretty meadows. With about 40 well-spaced tent pads across the forest giving you a good view of the surrounding beauty, campers can easily access Black Tusk and Panorama hikes from this campground.
