This year, the University of Oxford has secured the 2nd position in the world rankings. Oxford is the second best university in the world and the best university in Europe, according to the QS World University Rankings 2022. The University of Oxford existed in some form in 1096 but began to grow rapidly from 1167, when the academy was founded. University of Oxford has a distinguished reputation for teaching, research, and service to society.
Stanford University is ranked joint 3rd in the world. In 1885, Stanford University was established, making it a dream university for students worldwide. Stanford alumni are known for founding and leading many of the world’s most prestigious companies, often dubbed “the billionaire factory”. Stanford University is home to one of the most extensive campuses in the nation.
In the world rankings, University of Cambridge is ranked 3rd jointly with Stanford University. The second-oldest university in English-speaking countries was founded in 1209 and is located in Cambridge. This university ranks highly across the board on all academic and employer reputation indicators, making it one of the best in the UK. This university also boasts one of the largest libraries and museums in the world.
This year, Harvard University took the top 5th spots in the world. In addition to a great residential campus and a rich history dating back to 1636, Harvard University has a broad reputation in business, law, and medicine. The University’s fame and prestige are similar to that of one of the world’s leading universities, which never quenches the ambitions of students around the world to study here.
California Institute of Technology occupies the sixth position in the worldwide ranking. Since its founding in 1891, California Institute of Technology (Caltech) has established itself as one of the world’s foremost technological universities. Many of Caltech’s faculty members are affiliated with NASA and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Students here have the opportunity to learn from some of the world’s best professors.
One of the top universities in the UK is Imperial College London, ranked 7th globally. It was established by royal charter in 1907 as The University of Imperial College. It is the only institution of its kind in the United Kingdom, dedicated to engineering, medicine, business, and science.
Its highest score can be found in the academic status indicator, where it is ranked 8th in the world. Since 1826, UCL has established itself as a world-class institution of learning. Switzerland’s first and most highly ranked university, ETH Zurich (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology) currently occupies the 8th position in the world along with UCL and is the only European institution ranked within the top 10. Founded in 1855, the university has long been recognized as a leader in scientific and technical fields; there are 21 Nobel laureates affiliated with the university.
