Named after the Scottish explorer David Livingstone, this town is in southwestern Zambia. Situated in proximity to the Zambezi river and the border with Zimbabwe, this exotic town entices intrepid travellers to witness the beauty of Victoria Falls, explore the rich history and culture and much more.

Witness the awesome Victoria Falls

Bringing fame and visitors to Livingstone, this massive curtain of water is situated on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe and is the largest waterfall in the world, With a width of 1708 metres and a height of 108 metres, it is the largest falling of water in the world. Almost double the width and height of Niagara Falls in North America thus bringing awe to the guests from Livingstone Hotel Victoria Falls. Identified by David Livingstone in 1855, the falls were named after Queen Victoria of Great Britain. Both Zambia and Zimbabwe have National Parks at this site.

Explore the Railway and Gateway Jewish Museum

Take a tour of this unique museum to discover the history and the culture of Livingstone. The Jewish Museum takes you back to that era showcasing the culture of the Jewish settlers who arrived in Livingstone from South Africa. The Jewish Cemetery is now a church preserving the cultural history of the Jewish community. The railway museum has the 19th-century steam engine which is quite a popular exhibit.

Enjoy a cruise on the Zambezi River

Being a vibrant hub of Livingstone tourism, there are many ways of enjoying this wonderful water body. This park is unique and fun as it permits self-drive or open jeep safaris, and no predators are present. Having much diverse wildlife at this park, you can have your fill of witnessing zebras, giraffes, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes and many other species. It is also known for having a population of white rhinos, therefore if interested in spotting them arrange a bushwalk safari with a tour guide.
