With the recent release of the movie World War Z and AMC’s The Walking Dead Season four coming out soon, zombies are a subject that doesn’t seem to be going away any time soon. Here in Utah, ‘Zombie Runs’ have become quite popular, which is evidence that Utahn’s are thinking seriously about how to prepare for the zombie apocalypse. So here’s a list of eight basic things to do to increase your odds of survival.
Running, biking, hitting the gym whatever you can do to build your endurance. You’re heart, lungs, and body need to be in reasonably good shape to survive the brutal cardio work out of running from and/or fighting Utah zombies.
When you’re not running from Utah zombies, you’ll be looking for hideouts and supplies. To conserve gas you’re going to need to walk a lot, and blisters will definitely slow you down.
Jujitsu, karate, or even Krav Maga, there are many places in Utah that offer these classes, and anything that can build your agility and teach you to fend off enemies will be a much needed skill when the zombies come. Anything to keep you safe, right?
It’s always better to be safe than sorry, Have an evacuation plan for when the zombie outbreak begins. Where you will go? Who are the people you will most want in your posse when the undead are after you? What things will you need and where should you all meet? These are all things you need to include in your Utah Zombie Apocalypse Emergency Plan.
Hideouts are essential for survival during the zombie apocalypse. A safe place may be hard to come by, but try to find a location that is relatively remote, easily fortified but also possible to escape from if the worst should happen.
