Bardo National Museum

This is one of the most beautiful museums in the world and the building itself is a monument. They have a large, illustrious collection of Punic jewellery, the only identified portrait of Virgil as well as a variety of Roman mosaics. The United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) included the museum on the World Heritage List because of its rare archaeological riches, including more than 4,000 mosaics and statues representing Tunisia's various civilizations throughout its history.

Carthage National Museum

Aside from being a museum, the Carthage also functions as a conservation, management and research centre for the cultural artefacts on display. Moreover, it's only 15 mins away from The Residence Tunis. Amazing mosaics, tiles, inscriptions, statues, architectural remnants, ceramics, terracotta figurines, metal apparatus made of various metals, and implements made of bone or ivory and valuable stones are just a few of the artefacts on display at the museum.

Djerba Traditional Heritage Museum

Famous for being one of the most riveting museums in Tunisia also known as the Sidi Zitouni Ethnographic Museum promotes continued interest in and knowledge of Tunisia's rich cultural legacy. It has a two-hectare surface area, of which 4000 m2 is covered. The museum is depicted from the exterior by a structure that merges cupolas, pagodas, and traditional dwellings, all in white & green.

Chemtou Archeological Museum

One of the best things to do in Tunis is tour this museum. It was constructed on an ancient gold marble quarry; the best place to excavate the country's evolution. After 25 years of excavation, the ancient Numidian city of Simithus, which later evolved into a Roman metropolis, has given rise to the museum. The museum was created by archaeologists from the German Archaeological Institute and the Tunisian National Heritage Institute, both of whom have headquarters in Rome, Italy.

Sousse Archeological Museum

Located in the heart of the medina, the museum houses a collection of ancient artefacts and treasures from the region's rich history. Some of the highlights of the museum include its collection of Roman mosaics, which are considered some of the best in the world. The museum also features an array of Greek, Carthaginian, and Byzantine artefacts, as well as a selection of ancient coins and pottery. In addition to its permanent exhibits, the museum also hosts temporary exhibitions showcasing the work of local artists and craftsmen.
