If you're not so much a fan of crab, you are likely going to change your mind after trying this dish! There are two main ways in which this dish is cooked, either with a spicy tomato sauce or with black pepper sauce. This dish is said to have originated in 1956, by a couple who ran a cart and experimented with different types of cooking crab, other than steaming. Afterwards, it is said that a local chef added sambal sauce into the dish, along with eggs to cook the gravy, which then became even more popular! Nevertheless, despite the name, chilli crab is not that spicy.
