Since you're so close to the beach, it's only acceptable that you make a trip or two to Galle's stunning beaches! Unawatuna beach, a few minutes from Galle City Centre, is the ideal relaxation spot. Although the waves here are not perfect for surfing, it makes for a great swimming location. For those who want to explore underwater life, you can head to Jungle Beach, which is a hidden beach located a short walk away. There are plenty of opportunities to snorkel and embark on other equally interesting water activities.

Galle Lighthouse

When you visit Galle tourist places, take some time to also get a glimpse of the hard-to-miss Galle lighthouse! Located within Galle Fort, you can walk along the ramparts of the lighthouse. Don't forget to take your camera as this spot is perfect for those holiday photos. You will also come across a number of cliff jumpers on the side, who jump from the walls of the fort into the deep blue sea for a small fee. Better yet, if you stay awhile, you might just catch the stunning sunset.
