5 Kid-Friendly Attractions in Kuala Lumpur – For an unforgettable family vacation

When it comes to your family vacation, selecting a destination that the little ones will enjoy is key for a smooth-flowing, stress-free vacation. Kuala Lumpur is the capital city of Malaysia and is a wonderful place to escape to with your loved ones. With many theme parks, malls and museums, your kids are in for a treat in this city. Here are a few places to visit and things to do with kids in Kuala Lumpur.

1

Places to stay

First off let's begin with a place to stay. Most accommodation options in the city, be it a 5 star hotel in Kuala Lumpur or even apartments for rent are kid friendly. Hotels like those by PARKROYAL Corporate are also located in central spots in the city which allow you to access public transport with ease. You can also explore attractions which might be within walking distance away from your family lodging.

2

Sunway Lagoon

If you and your family are in for some thrills and spills, Sunway Lagoon is certainly the place to be. This theme park offers a host of activities from water rides that will leave you spinning along with a surf beach and wave pool and a river cruise. But that's not all, if you are up for more thrills, you can also take a ride on the revolving pirate ship. Spend a day exploring the park's different zones which include Scream Park, Extreme Park, Amusement Park, and Water Park. This theme park is just a 30-minute drive away from the Kuala Lumpur City Centre.

3

The Kuala Lumpur National Zoo & Aquarium

The zoo is also called Zoo Negara Malaysia and is one of the favourites among the little ones visiting the city. KL National Zoo & Aquarium allow your kids to get up close and personal with the animals here. The exhibit "Children's World" is a sanctuary where your kids can pet and feed the animals. Animals at Children's World are harmless and include ducks, rabbits, parrots, and guinea pigs. The zoo is also home to a miniature barn with horses, a playground and a mini cave where the children can explore animal body parts and primate skulls.

4

Kidzania Kuala Lumpur

Kidzania is basically a mini city with structures build catering to kids alone. It is a wonderful place for kids to explore what it is like to work in their dream field of expertise. With replicas of office buildings and even cars, your children can take turns in trying over 90 jobs to find out what they like doing best. The little ones can pretend to be surgeons, pilots, lawyers, secret agents and even news anchors. One of the most interesting jobs seems to be at the News Straits Times Press office where the little journalists are sent out into the city to discover stories worth writing and publishing. If your kids love fashion, Chika's Locker Fashion Boutique is the place to be for their modelling dreams to come true.

5

Berjaya Times Square Theme Park

This is KL's largest indoor theme park and is divided into 2 zones, one for the kids and the other for the adults. From rollercoaster rides to the 800 m long Supersonic Odyssey and the DNA mixer, this theme park has something for all ages to enjoy.
